If you distribute your products - whether it's software, graphics, audio or whatever - on disk images, you'll know what a tedious process it is creating the dmg, loading it with files and compressing it. Especially if you go for professional touches like preserving Finder window styling and running a Licence Agreement when the dmg mounts.

Well, that's all over.

  • One-click packaging.
No shell scripts, no command line. Just set up the options for your disk image and click "Package DMG". And you don't have to set your packaging options each time you package a disk image. The options you use are saved for re-use. Simply create a "Product" slot, fill in the options and it's there to be used again and again, at the click of a single button.
  • Save Finder window layouts.
DMG Packager preserves Finder window layout, ensuring that your users see what you see when they mount your disk image. It also saves the layout data so that it can be re-applied automatically next time you package up a disk image for that product. No more time wasted shifting those icons about and fiddling with the View Options panel.
  • Create a range of licence agreements in rich text.
DMG Packager shields you from all that messy legacy stuff with .rsrc files and resource editors. Create and edit multilingual licence agreements in rich text with the built-in licence agreement manager.
  • Make archives as well as disk images.
You may want to release some products as archives rather than disk images. DMG Packager can handle that for you, supporting zip, tar, tgz and tbz2 archives. It can aggregate multiple files and folders into single archives, and filter unwanted files.

Create a read/write disk image, mount it, copy your files to it, set its window layout, add a background picture, compress it and add a licence agreement, all with a single button-click, without having to type out a single command-line task.

Look at a full-size screenshot.

DMG Packager does them all!
(It also does tar.gz and tar.bz2 if you prefer unabbreviated extensions.)
