CoinToss
I was thinking of a good program to write for my first iPhone application. I thought this idea would be a good into to the programming for me. I looked to see if there were any coin toss games out there already and not surprisingly, there were. What did surprise me is that they were both charging $.99!! That's insane for a stupid coin flipping app.
So I turned it from a learning experience into a project to prevent more people from being ripped off... and here it is! Simple... but free. And it gets the job done.
To play: Just slide your finger from the bottom to the top across the coin. Or touch the info icon in the bottom right to load this web page. Not sure why you would want to do that if you're already here reading this now... but you can if you want.
One other feature is the ability to pause time! (not really, but pause the coin toss anyway) While the coin is spinning, touch with 2 fingers to pause. You can then tilt the iPhone around to look at the coin in 3D. Touch with 2 fingers again to resume.
Finally, even though this app is free, I'll be providing updates now and then, so keep watching.
