QIM 1.5.0 is released! The size of QIM 1.5.0 is only 1/3 ( 15MB / 45.7MB) of the previous version. But it has more functions and running faster.

New features:

1. New l=r for fuzzy pinyin
2. The key of user-defined input string can not begin with i,u,v. Now its unlocked.
3. Type ';' key to jump to the first page contains single-hanzi character.

QIM will jump to page 54 when you type ; key


4. New shortcut setting GUI.
5. When the user type tab key to filter the candidates, the pinyin will be tagged with the tone.

You will get the pinyin string when you hit enter key.


6. When the input sequence has more than one split possibilities, QIM will prompt a ¹ or ² after the sequence. Use control key to switch between these possibilities. QIM will remember the selection you choose and use the same split way next time.

7. QIM can 'keep silent' in application. In this case, QIM will bypass all keys and direct them to the applications themselves. Its useful because some applications won't need input Chinese at all ( Ex. QuickSilver).

QIM will get the correct sentence with the support of QIT! It will save a lot of time when you input like this.
If the sentence is not you want, don't worry, QIT will remember your modifications, when you input the same kind of sentence again, QIT will bring you the correct sentence.

What is QIT?
It is a core database for QIM. With this database, QIM can supply "Intelligent sentence generation" and "Advance predictive"(Not implement yet) features.

QIT is a huge dictionary too, it has more than 22,500,00 words which cover all areas, you can even input Tong's poems with QIT!

2. Smart pinyin split
In this version, the pinyin will be split more smarter. QIM will adjust the pinyin sequence to product pinyin in a smart way, and this will help the user find the correct result faster.

3. Enhanced tone control
In the previous version, you can use tone to narrow the candidates, but it only apply to the hanzi in Xinhua dictionary. Now you can apply the tone to all hanzi characters! Also it can apply to words and user-defined words.

4. More faster
QIM use a new dictionary file format which will improve the searching speed. QIM 1.4.0 will give you the great fluency during input progress. 

Support Double Pinyin input mode, 4 schema integrated ( include : Ziguang, Microsoft, Ziranma and Chinese Star ).
Support customize the shortcut used by QIM.
The input progress will be freezed when the input progress is broken by a pop-up window.

BUG FIXES:
1. The v-mode helper window wouldn't disappear when the user cancels the v-mode input progress.
2. When the user inputs pinyin 'nv', QIM would cut the preceding pinyin's last character.
3. Fixed memory bug in v-mode which caused QIM to crash.
4. Fixed bug in log recoding routine which caused Authorize Agent to crash.
5. Fixed memory leak when switching between input windows.

Improvements:
1. Increased speed when querying phrases.
2. QIM enters direct-input mode when the first character is capitalized.
3. QIM stays in traditional Chinese output mode after the user switches to it with hot-key.

1. User can use up-arrow, down-arraw or mouse click to select a v-mode key.

7. If the time interval between typing between '.' and the preceding key is less than 350 ms, QIM will think you are entering a URL and switch to direct-input mode.

1. BUG Fix: The user defined words can not apply fuzzy pinyin feature.
2. BUG Fix: Some fuzzy pinyin item doesn't work.

4. New feature: QIM now has many plug-in phrase database inside.
5. New feature: The small keypad can output Roman characters even when QIM is active.
6. New feature: QIM can output the phrases longer than the current pinyin.
7. New feature: QIM can output special characters in "v mode", it also can display a help window to show you the "v mode" keys.

A helper window will appear when you type a 'v' character ( You should turn this feature on in QIM Preferences program). The window will display all the keys you can input. QIM will improve this feature in the future release and will allow user add user-defined keys into this window.


QIM can display the matched phrases which pinyin is longer than you input.
