What is SABnzbd?
SABnzbd is a free/open-source cross-platform binary newsreader written in Python.
It simplifies the process of downloading from Usenet dramatically, thanks to its friendly web-based user interface and advanced built-in post-processing options that automatically verify, repair, extract and clean up posts downloaded from Usenet. SABnzbd also has a fully customizable user interface, and offers a complete API for third-party applications to hook into.

Slyck News (home of the original Guide to Usenet) posted a “modern” newsreader showdown yesterday, between GrabIt, Alt.Binz and SABnzbd+. Regarding SABnzbd+, they had this to say:
“[...] SABnzbd has reinvented the newsgroup reader. With a web interface, an open source nature, and active community involvement, SABnzbd is the ironclad warship of the newgroup readers, as it has immediately rendered all others obsolete.“
Thanks for the glowing review, guys!
In return, we encourage our users to Digg their article here.

Contains fixes from 0.4.1:
- Fix for NZB files containing empty files (e.g. coming from nzbindex.nl)
- Changed sorting of nzb contents to be more accurate
- Fix for iPhone-skin on Linux/OSX
- The “~” character in filenames is kept
- Some Plush fixes
- Fix for Linux packages (solves problem of #include paths in Default-skin)
0.4.2:
- Fixed a problem in 0.4.1 where .nzb files would not appear in the queue after being added.
Fully compatible with release 0.4.0/0.4.1, so you can install the new release over the old one.

Thanks to our new team member rAf, we can now offer a native OSX app in the form of a DMG download.
