Can be executed from windows explorer menu. Up to 9 different presets can be created. - Handles password protected files. A much requested feature finally here. - Add items while The Extractor is running. - A lot of new options to configure The Extractor under preferences. Should The Extractor check for updates? What should happen when all items in list have been processed? Do you want presets to show up in windows explorer menu? and so on... - Updates downloaded directly by The Extractor. No external program to handle updates. To simplify updates, The Extractor always downloads the complete installer and reinstalls The Extractor (keeping all settings). - Item menu expanded with a lot of new options. You can now open input- and output folder from the item menu, reset items, set output folder or preset, tell The Extractor to skip items - Fix for one instance running. This should finally work without bugs. - Reports and item menu now accessible while The Extractor is running. You can download it HERE
![]() The Extractor Extracts or tests any number of zip and/or rar files in one go. Output folder for extraction can be set individually. Deletes processed files and folders. Reports errors occured during either extraction or clean up. Basic usage: 1. Drag and drop - folders containing zip and/or rar files - zip files - any rar file (but only ONE from the same rar set) 2. Right click on dropped item to set output folder. 3. Choose desired options. 4. Press Go! Presets - Open the presets dialog by clicking the "Presets" button. Here you can create and manage your presets. - After you have created one or more presets right-click on one (or more) items in list, click on "Set preset" and choose one of your newly created presets to assign a preset to that item. - Presets enables you to have different options set for each item in list. - A maximum of 9 presets can be created. - Presets can also be executed from windows explorer menu, provided you have checked that option under "Preferences". Results: 1. Icon: Green checkmark Text: "OK(time of process)" - Everything completed successfully. 2. Icon: Purple checkmark Text: "OK (Double click)" - Extraction completed successfully but could not delete all files and folders. - Double click on this item in the list to get a clean up report. - Can only occur if Clean up is checked. 3. Icon: Red X Text: "-Double click-" - Extraction failed. - Double click on this item in the list to get a error report. 4. Icon: Grey folder Text: "Nothing to extract" - Couldn't find any rar or zip files to extract. Clean up: Clean up will only occur if extraction completes successfully. What's deleted depends on what type of item was processed. Rar and zip files will always be deleted. If processed item was a folder, the following can also be deleted: - avi, vob, mkv or mpg files located in a "sample" folder - jpg files located in a "covers" folder - sfv files - nfo files - diz files - url files - html files - empty folders All other files won't be deleted and will show up in the clean up report, where you will have the option to delete all remaining files and folders. Keyboard commands: F9 minimize to tray ( the only command that works while processing ). Esc exit. Delete deletes selected item(s) from list. Ctrl+T moves selected item(s) to the top of the list. Ctrl+B moves selected item(s) to the bottom of the list. Ctrl+U moves selected item(s) one step up in the list. Ctrl+D moves selected item(s) one step down in the list. Ctrl+S skip selected item(s).
