"You ROCK!" -P
What is MobileSync Browser?
Everytime you synch your phone, iTunes keeps a local copy of the information contained in your iPhone's SMS and Notes applications as well as your recent call history. MSB allows you to refer to these files and copy the information for archive or reference purposes.
You do not have to jailbreak/hack your phone or even have it present/connected!
Since contacts and photos can and should be synched/displayed by other applications, MSB concentrates on SMS, Notes and Call Logs, which are not normally accessible/viewable on the host computer.
Because many users wrote in asking how to recover data that should have synched (but didn't), I have added Data Recovery features. Rather than create a separate program, I decided to add these as optional features to MSB.

• View and maintain a permanent running archive of SMS, Notes and Calls.
• Export records/files for use in other programs.
The Plus version (Data Recovery) allows you to export any file encapsulated in the backup! This includes photos, bookmark files and more... some of these files are more useful than others, since you must have a program capable of reading the files you extract.
The most recent release of MobileSyncBrowser is
available here: You
may NOT redistribute MSB without the express written consent of the
author.
CURRENT VERSION NOTES
Version 0.9.2
NEW Enables
folder exports in File browser (Plus version)
FIX Corrects
an issue that could cause the application to quit when scanning the
device.
KNOWN ISSUE:
If multiple devices exist, MSB will not switch the contacts
when switching devices. The contacts of the first device viewed will
persist. Relaunch MSB and select the desired device first as a
workaround.
AUTHOR'S NOTE:
0.9.2 correct an issue that began in 0.8.25 that can cause MSB to quit
while scanning- this is because to support the 'Files' feature, MSB
must process all
files in the backup. Since the introduction of the App Store, many more
files are present in the backup and many of the files are produced by
third-party applications. Some of these produce data in a way that
caused these crashes. One
some systems, MSB would notify that it would skip a certain file, on
others would just quit with no notice.
The point I wish to make is that these errors like these are sometime
very, very
hard to find; since iPhone data is very personal and private, it's
extremely hard to get any sample files from users to reproduce the
issue!
IMPORTANT!
When
problems arise, know I do
understand your frustration!
Versions 0.8.30 and higher will try to log recent actions in your web browser
if an error occurs. If it doesn't, try your system log if you are
familiar with it. Please paste this data if you encounter and write
about any error messages, it makes it much easier to determine the root
problem without compromising the privacy of your data. Thanks!

Windows
MobileSyncBrowser is provided AS-IS for personal, non-commercial use
only.
IMPORTANT: Please
be fair and consider the many hours it takes to program and support
this application: many dependencies had to be written from scratch,
especially to make the Windows version possible.
If this program is useful to you, I think I deserve a
few imported beers or even a nice meal (the sky's the limit), if MSB
got you out of a big
problem.
