Version 1.4 is the latest final release. Please download the Classic PPC version if you're running MacOS 8–9.x and the OS X version for Mac OS 10.1 or higher. If you experience any problems on OS X, you might also download and try the latest beta for OS 10.2 and up.

SHA1 checksums for OS X versions in 3 steps:
Step 1: Open Terminal, change to the directory containing
the file ForgotIt.dmg and make sure it is the file for the
release you want to check. Example: cd Desktop
Important: Do not mount the image yet!
Step 2: Type openssl sha1 "ForgotIt 1.4.dmg"
Step 3: The SHA1 checksum should be
